French Cotton Covered Millinery Wire - 1.4mm

This high quality super firm 1.4mm wide (approx. 15 gauge) millinery wire is made from hardened steel and is covered in cotton thread. Made in France, it's simply ideal for creating sturdy hat bases and structural millinery forms.

Sold by the metre or full roll which measures 21m (22.9 yards). Multiple metres purchased will arrive as one continuous length.

1.4mm- A super firm wire, perfect for large, sculptural headpieces and wirework

1.2mm- An extra firm all around useful wire for creating stiff hat structures

1.0mm- A firm wire which is suitable for hat structure, flower stems and lighter weight brims

0.8mm - An excellent choice for making flowers and structuring lightweight millinery hat elements

0.4mm- Almost thread like, this thin wire is excellent for securing trims and creating veining in flowers
