Vintage 1970s/80s Dash Pattern Visca Cone Hat Body
This woven dash patterned cone is made from visca which is a Japanese wood pulp! From afar it has the appearance of parasisal straw but costs a fraction of the price. Visca is naturally floppy as it comes un-stiffened so will benefit from a buckram under-base or a good amount of stiffening.
This cone has such a good sheen to it and is very likely to date from the 1970s/80s as we got it from a big vintage lot of hat bodies. It's such a treat and worth snapping up now whilst you can as visca, to our knowledge, is no longer produced.
Cones measurements (when flat): 27x36cm (10.6x14.1 inches)
*Please note that this is not a finished hat but the 'body' to make one from scratch.*

Petershams Guide to hat bodies:
Cone: This is the perfect size for most fascinators and for blocking out hat crowns.
Flares: This is the size inbetween a cone and a capeline, so good for hats with smaller brims or larger fascinators.
Capelines: This is the largest hat body, great for wide brimmed hats.
