How long before my order is dispatched?

Order by 3pm (GMT) Monday thru Friday for same day dispatch with Royal Mail. Order by 12pm (GMT) Monday thru Friday for same day dispatch with FedEx. We will notify you by email to let you know your order is on it's way. Please check your junk folder if you can't find this email.

Can I return an unwanted item?

Yes, so long as it is unused condition within 14 working days of received delivery. 

The buyer is responsible for return postage costs and any loss in value if an item isn't returned in original condition.

Please be sure to package up any items you wish to return in the appropriate packaging. If your order was received in a cardboard box, please be sure to return the items in the same or similar packaging. 

Petershams cannot be held responsible for anything getting lost or damaged in the post, so be sure to package your returns safely and get proof of postage before sending.

Will I have to pay customs / Duty?

If you are outside the UK, you as the buyer are the importer of record and as such responsible for paying any applicable custom duties, import taxes and handling fees. Each country has varying import duty allowances and costs, so please refer to your relevant government website for information.

If your order is too large to fit into one parcel, this parcel will be split into multiple packages, which may result in additional fees. Please inform us before placing the order if you need the order in one package as additional postage charges may apply.

 

EU Customers: 

As of January 1st, 2021 the UK has left the EU which means buying with us will change a tiny bit!

  • From 1 July 2‌0‌2‌1, all commercial goods imported into the EU will be subject to VAT.
  • If you are a VAT registered business, then purchases from Petershams will follow the process of any other non-EU purchases you make. This basically means that we will not charge you VAT. However you will be charged import VAT by Customs at your local VAT rate, which you will be able to recover to the extent that the cost relates to taxable activities. So, full VAT recovery will be possible if your business is fully taxable.
  • If you are not VAT registered, then unlike previously, we will not charge you VAT. However, you will be charged the VAT (at your local rate) by Customs (or courier service). 
  • You will also be liable for customs clearing fees and duty. These fees vary from country to country.
