Vintage 1940's Lacquered Mini Pear Branch Brooch

You know we love vintage, but these brooches are on another level! Made in the 1940/50's, these miniature pears are made from tightly layered paper fibres and then given a smooth lacquered finish over the top, giving them a realistic look.
Each pear has a fine wire paper wrapped stem, which have been gathered together and joined to a small wooden branch. The branch also holds three dyed cotton leaves, all in need of a little TLC.
The branch has been completed with a classic gold brooch pin attached to the branch.
This would look lovely attached to a hat band on a classically shaped hat or percher.
Due to it's age you may find some of the pears are a little cracked.
Brooch measures: 11cm in length and pears drop to 8cm.
