Materials: 1m x 50mm French Velvet Ribbon

Tools: Pair of scissors  Ruler Thread Needle

Spooky season just got luxe with these velvet bat ribbons. Here's how we did it;

What You Need: 

50mm Velevet Ribbon (36mm works great, too) - 1 yard/metre

Basic Sewing Kit: Scissors, needle, thread, chalk

Cut three lengths of ribbon:

Main Body: 20.5cm (8 inches)

Tail: 45cm (17.7 inches)

Middle: 25mm (1 inch)

STEP 1:

Fold main body in half, sketch backwards 'B' scallop shape with chalk. Cut. Repeat with ribbon tail

Step 2: Pinch main body at center and sew. Fold tail in half and sew to main body. 

Step 3: Fold your middle ribbon piece around the center, tuck in raw edges and sew close. And that's it! 

If you are using as a hair comb sew one to the back. This bow also looks great added to padded headbands and fascinator bases with a bit of veiling popped underneath.
