Imperfect Partially Blocked Double Dash Vintage Ecuador Panama Straw Capeline - 11.5"
Up for grabs, slightly damaged Ecuador panama capelines! Often used in high-end millinery, these capelines made from toquilla straw are known for their breathability and ability to bounce back into shape. It often took days for a skilled weaver to complete even just one capeline. They really are special.
We obtained a few of these beauties from a long-time hat manufacturer in England. These examples date to the 1980s-90's and we are so happy to share them with you!
This design has been partially blocked at the crown with stiffener applied. It features a double dash pattern throughout which creates an overall spiral effect. Unfortunately this panama has suffered some damage to the crown and has been priced accordingly.

Flat measurement from crown tip to brim: 29.2cm (11.5inches)
Brim width from side crown to brim edge: 12cm (4.7 inches)
