Vintage French 1940s Elasticated Cascading Dotted Honeycomb Veiling - 1 Piece
This unusual veiling dates back to the 1940s and is French in origin. What makes it totally different is that it has been made into a trim that has a cascading gathered feature with a thin elastic band threaded at the top. We think these were made to slip directly onto the head or onto a riding hat making for a glamorous temporary addition that can be used time and time again without having to be permanently sewn onto a headpiece. Quite genius, really!
Dark brown in colour the veiling is of classic honeycomb structure and has teeny tiny dots along its cascading edge.
The total size of the piece when laid flat is:
Width: 26cm (10.2 inches)
Length: 36cm (14 inches)
Condition: Fair-Good vintage condition. Expect small tears and disconnects as those shown in photos. This piece has been priced accordingly due to these small faults.
