French Cotton Covered Millinery Wire - 0.4mm

This high quality extra fine 0.4mm wide (approx. 46 gauge) millinery wire is made from steel and covered in cotton thread. Made in France, it is simply perfect for wiring up tiny elements for millinery, flower making and other crafts.

Sold by the metre or full roll which measures 21m (22.9 yards). Multiple metres purchased will arrive as one continuous length.

The Petershams Guide to Millinery Wire:
1.2mm- An extra firm all around useful wire for creating stiff hat structures

1.0mm- A firm wire which is suitable for hat structure, flower stems and lighter weight brims

0.8mm - An excellent choice for making flowers and structuring lightweight millinery hat elements

0.4mm- Almost thread like, this thin wire is excellent for securing trims and creating veining in flowers
