23mm Vintage 1980's Austrian Cushion-Shape Glass Crystal Chaton
These vintage 1980's Austrian glass crystals are simply heavenly. Each one is a rounded square shape, known as a 'cushion' shape in the world of gemstones and would have originally been used in jewellery making set into a frame, but we can easily see them being used as part of a headpiece. Made from glass, each one has quite a bit of weight to it and some of the colours even have a gorgeous iridescent sheen.
Chatons are faceted crystal or gemstone components with a deeply pointed, cone-shaped back without a sew-hole.
We got them from a closed down jewellery manufacturer, so they are fab quality and their vintage status gives them extra sustainability points!
