Vintage Parasisal Straw Capeline Hat Body - 12"
Parasisal straw is amongst the finest of all millinery materials one could use to make a hat! It's made from super fine straw strands, woven into what is known as a 2x2 pattern that gives it a chevron-like effect, catching the light from all angles. It's ability to block out into a super smooth surface makes this capeline an absolute pleasure to work with!
Lighter colours may have evidence of foxing around the outer edges from storage. Most colours have been pre-stiffened for ease of blocking.
Capeline measures:
Flat measurement from crown tip to brim: Approx. 30.4cm (12 inches)
*Please note that this is not a finished hat but the 'body' to make one from scratch.*

Petershams Guide to hat bodies:
Cone: This is the perfect size for most fascinators and for blocking out hat crowns.
Flares: This is the size in between a cone and a capeline, so good for hats with smaller brims or larger fascinators.
Capelines: This is the largest hat body, great for wide brimmed fitted hats.
