'Aisling' Vintage 1940's Waxed German Daisy Millinery Hat Mount
This flower has such an incredible sheen to it, you may even mistake it for leather from a distance!
The 'Aisling' flower mount is a large single daisy-like flower made from high-shine waxed fabric. It's accompanied by leaves and it's tag reads 'Made in Germany, USSR Occupied' which will date this flowers manufacture date to 1945-1949, making it over 70 years old!
(Not all tags will still be intact).
Over time these flower have gathered some vintage dust, but this can easily be brushed away using a fine cloth or better yet, an old toothbrush. Some of the centres have little dipples in the middle. This has been reflected in the price.
With a wired stem and leaves, simply sew it to your project and arrange as you wish.
